Small project Turned into big project

Saturday we went to visit Daena. When i pulled into his driveway i got an idea to back up to his wood pile and make believe we stole some wood.He come out cause Karen give him hell and told him to get his ass out there to see who was stealing the wood.We laughed and bullshitted a little and i could smell gas.
I had Tracie start the van and sure shit it was leaking in the middle of the van on the passenger side.We drove it home later that night and it used a 1/4 of a tank to go 15 miles.

Sunday i went out and got it on the ramps and got looking at things and found out the leak was by the fuel filter.I took my screwdriver and tried to tighten the clamp and the clamp fell on the garage floor.(thats why it's leaking)I decided to replace the small pieces of hoses and clamps.Hopped in the Caprice and flew to town.

Before taking the Caprice it idled real fast and has a slight miss to it so i looked all over for a vacuum leak but could not find one.I flew to Ace and got some hose and clamps and started flying home down Hwy 13.Got to the State Park and the damn car started blubbering and died.I tried to make it to the gas station at Hwy 13 & 21 but only made it to Cypress.Called Tracie but no answer so i get out of my car and started walking.I seen alot of friendly people drive by but no rides.I thought to myself it's a nice day i will walk anyway soI walked 1 and 3/4 miles home and fixed the van.

Drove to the gas station at 13 & 21,got gas and went back and put it in the Caprice.Gas is all in so i got in the car and turned the key and the damn battery was dead. Now what?i had Tracie get bumper to bumper and she pushed me a 1/8 of a mile to the corner so i could put the jumper cables on.The damn thing still wouldn't start so i ended up putting gas in the carb to get it to go.

No more missing and no more high idle.Hmmm maybe running it out of gas fixed it or it was my sign that it was running out of gas,i guess either way i didn't have to walk the treadmill yesterday and i got the van and the Caprice fixed. Not all bad.
