Scarey Snowmobile Ride

Last week i got my Artic Cat snowmobile out that my Dad gave me and tried to get it running.Nothing but problems from there(like usual)Like a dumb ass i took the throttle out of the top of the carb to put gas in the to get it to fire.1st time worked good but the 2nd time the throttle came apart and a piece fell right in the hole on top of the carb.I ended up taking the carb off but the piece fell in a pocket.Thought for sure it went in on top of the piston but i got lucky (if you call it lucky)I then had to look for over a half hour to find my telescoping magnet and within seconds i had the piece in my hand.I said "screw that"and put it back together and did it the way i should of done in the 1st place, and that is to take a spark plug out.

I put gas in the plugs a few times but the gas wouldn't prime the carbs. The damn choke was froze so i pissed with that for a while till it started working.Put gas in the cylinder with the choke on and it primed instantly and ran wide open.Scared the hell out of me.I put it on the ground and it didn't take off so i thought it was ok.I took off with it behind the house and as i turned the corner it took off wide open again and Tracie just happened to back the truck up into a spot i had blown out and just barely left me enough room to fit through with normal speed and here i come wide open.Lucky i have ridin sled alot in my childhood cause i was able to squeak the sled through the tight spot.By the time it idled down i was almost a 1/4 mile down the road. When i got it back home i thought i would take it around the driveway and park it in the yard somewhere.WRONG as i went down the driveway it went wide open again and i hit a huge snowbank at the end of my driveway and went in the air and when i landed it was still wide open and did 2 360s in the road.Didn't throw we off(that is where experience comes in)and after the 2nd 360 i aimed it back into the driveway in which i just came and kept shutting the swith off till i got close to the garage and left it set there.

Didn't mess with it till this last Friday.I took it over to Russell's and he got taking things off and found out the rubber flange was cracked almost in half.He Jerry rigged it and put back on and the motor idled like a million bucks.

Country Sports wanted 30 bucks a piece and i went to the Artic Cat dealer on County Road Z and he ordered 2 of them for 22 bucks.Gotta wait til Tuesday but i guess i can wait.
