Today I drove to Plover Wisconsin to buy me a new LCD wide screen television that i can also use as a monitor for my computer.

Drove 53 miles to Plover to find out the monitor is 30 dollars more that on-line and they didn't have one on stock. We did a little more shopping and decided to drive to Portage Wisconsin-another 68 miles one way.

Got to Plover and their 19" LCD wide screen tv's were 40 dollars more than they are on-line.I said"screw it and decided to order it online.I can wait 10 days to get it and save 40 bucks.Yup! i am a cheap bastard.
I am glad my car gets over 35 mpg other wise i would of been better off to buy it at Portage.

I got it for $263.26 on-line and that is with the tax included.Plover wanted $278 without tax and Portage wanted $289 without tax.

How odd. I almost always check out the prices online first and the Lake Delton Wal-mart has always been cheaper in the store. Are you sure they were the same brand? The Polaroid is more, $278. And the Sanyo is more yet. Did you ask them if they would match the online price?

Probably should have called ahead first. Did you have your phone with you? Could have called from the Plover store to Portage, or maybe they would have called for you. Might have saved you the 5.4 gallons of gas/$16.20+.
