Wood Cutting With Daena

Karen And Daena Loading Up The Sleigh
This Was One Large Tree We Tackled Today. This Was One Of Those Trees That Was Very Stringy And Took A Little More Effort To Split.Nothing We Couldn't Handle Though
2 More Piles Of Wood We Split Today,Daena Thought We Were Done Till He Remembered This Tree.We Had It Done In No Time,He Started At The Butt Of The Tree And I Started At The Top,In No Time We Had This Smaller Tree Split And Piled.
Here Is Daena Trying Out His Brand Spanking New Stihl 260 Chain Saw.He Sold One Today And Bought Another.Seemed Like The More He Cut The Better It Ran.He Seems Very Happy With His New Saw.
Before Going Out To The Woods We Got A Wood Customer So Daena And Karen Was Getting This Old Fella Loaded And One His Way.

Now for a little story on how the day unfolded.

I went out this morning to shovel the foot and a half of snow off my car and guess what? The damn thing ran out of gas,so i had to run to the gas station to get more gas which only left me 20 minutes to get to Daena's .He was waiting for me and we were on the road right away.
We cruised on over to Shipwreck Bay and had a friend look at Daena's 290 Stihl chainsaw which our Friend ended up buying.
After that we had a little time to kill so we went to Mauston to see if we could find the Stihl dealer. We drove through town and didn't find it so i had to call my sister for assistance and her guess was right on.They didn't have any 260 pro in stock so as we were heading back home Daena called Adams Ace and they said they had a bunch of them so we then hammered it to Adams where Daena bought himself his dream saw.
After getting home from bumming we sat and relaxed a few minutes, ate a slice of pizza we got our saws loaded and ready to go when Daena got a customer so we loaded him up and then we headed out to the woods.

I cut a large tree down and of course it got hung up in another tree.We eventually cut enough up where we were able to push the tree to the ground. As i worked on the bigger tree Daena cut down a tree about a foot or so across with his new saw.I even got the privilege of trying it out and wow what a saw.A guy could get spoiled using that saw.It went through that wood like butter.
After getting the 2 trees cut up it was time to split.Took maybe an hour or so and the wood was all split.
Meanwhile as we were cutting and splitting Karen was filling up the bins we sold earlier and as she got one fill she sold it right away so we helped her get bin by the road filled and then the other bin in the back filled and then it was time for Supper.
Karen made us some Spaghetti(THANK YOU KAREN)
