How Stupid Can One Person Be?

1.22.10.....A Mauston man has been charged with misdemeanor carrying a concealed weapon and disorderly conduct. According to the deputy's report.....Monday night at 8pm....36-year old Glen Newman had gone to the Mauston Police Department to speak with an Officer regarding an earlier traffic stop and the reason why his wife had a suspended driver's license. While talking with Newman, the Mauston Police Officer received a call from dispatch. The dispatcher said Newman's wife had called the Sheriff's Department saying that he had left their home with a long rifle and was going to demand answers from law enforcement why his wife had received a citation.
Investigation revealed a rifle on the floorboard of Newman's vehicle parked at the Mauston PD covered with a black jacket and ammunition on the front passenger seat. Newman was placed under arrest and transported to the Juneau County Jail. His vehicle with the rifle inside was taken to the Juneau County Impound. While in jail, Newman made threatening remarks saying, "whoever put me in this situation is going to pay." During a court hearing Wednesday, bail was set at a $50,000 cash bond and Judge Paul Curran ordered Newman to take his prescribed medications, to have no contact with Veronica Newman, and not to possess any firearms or bows.
