Even thought the deer ate the tops off a few times,i got a gallon pail full of carrots just on one row.Few large one like my pictures alot of medium ones and just a few small ones.I tried pulling a few carrots in August and all i did was pull the tops off so i cheated yesterday when i pulled them this time,i used my 5 tine fork and loosened the ground a little and they popped out of the ground like nothing.
I had a good onion crop this year also but i didn't pull them,figure i will leave them in the ground and i can have some early onions next year.
