Funny Story

Monday morning i figured to take the back roads because of the snow we got Sunday afternoon.

Got to town ok and got a brain storm to take County Road J to 10th avenue.Roads were plowed and slippery so i was a little cautious (unusual for me,usually it is hammer down)Got to the intersection of 10th Avenue and County Road M and i was shifted down to 2nd gear already and almost to 1st gear when i stepped on the brakes it was like i was on glare ice.I said to myself"no big deal,i will pull the emergency brake and slide it sideways around the corner and hammer on it till it straightens up.WRONG
As i was about to pull the emergency brake i looked to the left side of County Road M and i seen headlights.What to do now?At the last minute i decided to put the car in the ditch and pulled the steering wheel hard to the left.I flew right over to the other side of the road and into the ditch,then i had the brain storm to shift to 2nd gear and hammer on it and see if i could drive it right out of the ditch.WRONG AGAIN
When i hit the snow bank that the snow plow left it lifted up the front end of my car and there i sat.
What to do now?I got my cell phone out and was about to call Tracie when i had another thought.Why don't i try to push the car out myself.I put the car in reverse and got out of the car and grabbed a hold of the front end and with a little lift and a push at the same time the car moved back a few feet.I thought maybe i could back the car out.NOPE
One more try,i put the car in reverse and grabbed a hold of the front end and with a little lift and push at the same time the car started moving backwards BUT it didn't stop.It kept backing up and here i stand with my mouth wide open watching my car going backwards on it's own.
The car is backing up on it's own with the drivers door wide open plowing snow into the floor boards of the drivers side of the car,and i was running my skinny body beside the car trying to hop in without running over myself.Snow up to my knees i finally got enough speed up to catch up to the car and to hop in.When i got into the car i put it into 1st gear and hammered on it and off to work i went.
