Why is it?

Why is it,in October when it get down to 40 we have our winter jackets on but when it hits 40 in February we take that jacket off?

Today February 10th 2009,as of 11:24 am it is 48 degrees with the wind blowing hard feels like 100mph but i am sure it is not that fast.

I had the laugh at the snowmobilers this last weekend, they tried their hardest to get another ride in before the snow melted but their luck ran out.The trails closed before the weekend.I was surprised that Adams closed theirs also. They very seldom close the trails till June.

Puppy update:growing fast.Maddie has gained 3 pounds and Molly gained almost 2.Their body size has almost doubled and they are 10 weeks old.
They are a bundle of laughs and we are happy we decided to get 2.They are so close neither one can stand being alone without the other.
The potty training has begun and so far they are going potty outside instead of the puppy pad or the nearest carpet.I guess they are they are training us as we are training them. They are so funny sometimes, other times they are tit babies and want mom & me to give them a little titty. That's ok too,(I like a little titty once in a while also He He)
Tried the leash thing and they got a few issues on that but we can work through that.
Yesterday they got their 2nd round of rabies shots and 2nd dose of dewormer. Now 3 weeks they go back for their final rabies booster shot and a shot for lime disease.Puppies are fun to have but expensive.

Answer: Because by February we're sweating from all that free wood heat!

ISN'T THAT THE TRUTH.YOU KNOW, I BITCH CAUSE IT IS ALWAYS ME,MYSELF&I THAT CUT,SPLIT,LOAD,UNLOAD,&STACK THE WOOD BUT COME JANUARY WHEN THE TEMPERATURE GETS DOWN TO -20 TO -30 BELOW ZERO AND I DON'T BURN AN OUNCE OF LP I ALWAYS FEEL IT IS WORTH IT.THE ONLY LP I BURN IS WHAT I USE TO COOK OUR MEALS WITH.DID HAVE A 500 GAL TANK,THE GAS COMPANY TRIED TO PULL A FAST ONE AND I TOLD THEM TO REMOVE THE TANK AND THEY TALKED TRACIE INTO 2 100LB CYLINDERS.WE WERE 2 DAYS LATE ON PAYING $50 TO HAVE THE TANKS AND THEY CAME TO TAKE THEM AND I TOLD THEM"GOOD GET THEM THE HELL OUT OF HERE,I DON'T NEED IT"SO THEY DID.I HOOKED UP A 20LB TANK AND USED THAT THROUGHOUT THE SUMMER AND I HAD A 100LB CYLINDER MY DAD HAD FILLED AND I AM USING THAT.
SURE IS NICE TO HAVE PEOPLE AROUND THE NEIGHBORHOOD GIVE MY WOOD TO BURN.STARTING TO RUN OUT OF NEIGHBORS WITH DEAD WOOD BUT YOU NEVER KNOW,COME SPRING I MIGHT GET A FEW CALLS.

We still cook with LP and heat our water with it. About 350 gallons per year, but way better than the 2500 gallons we used to go through when we heated with it! Our clothes are dried by hanging them outside in the nice weather and by the woodstove in the crappy weather. I hung them outside the other day when it was so warm and windy. Boy, there's nothing like the fresh smell of clothes after they're hung outside to dry!

I never get any help with my wood either. It's mostly ok though. I really enjoy it. Gives me an excuse to get out in the woods now that I don't hunt anymore. A little company might be nice once in awhile, but my girls don't even do that much!
