Brrrr,it is cold in the house this morning.I am thinking of running out and starting a fire.I was hoping i could hold off till the end of the month but that thought has been shot to hell.
Been awfully busy lately to post every day.It is wood cutting time and that is pretty much all i think of right now.
Had a little bad experience last Saturday.Went to Joe's place(a guy i work with)to cut a few green trees down and he had to go to Baraboo Wi. to take care of financial things so i was alone.My very 1st tree i cut the damn wind came up and blew the tree the wrong way and pinched my chainsaw.I had my tow strap hooked to the truck and a chain hooked around the tree.I pulled lightly and i seen my chainsaw come out so i figured i would give it just a little more of a pull.Big mistake.The chain broke and one end of the chain hit my back window and blew that out and the rest of the chain hit the roof and made a chain mark across the roof of the truck and made a mark or crack on my front window the size of a nickel.As the back window blew i was looking towards the passenger side of the truck.The glass flew into my face so fast and hard it felt like i was hit by a 2x4.I looked into the mirror thinking all i would see would be blood but i got lucky and only had a couple spots that looked like a razor cut.
Being dazed i got out of the truck and walked around the truck a couple times until i got my senses back and sat down for a few minutes.It felt like i had something in my ear so like a dumb ass i put my pinky finger in my ear and felt a piece of glass but at that time it was too late cause i pushed it into my ear and it started to bleed.
I got in the truck and drove to Mauston Urgent Care and had the doctor dig the glass out.In and out in less than 15 minutes,drove back and finished cutting wood.
That is all that has happened to me that was exciting.Hopefully my excitement won't be so scarey next time.
