Auto Zone Employees Are!
They are dumb asses!I stopped there yesterday to buy the gasket that goes between the manifold and the exhaust pipe.I sat and argued with the 1st dumb ass a little cause he insisted it took a flat gasket.I didn't think that was right so went out to the car and looked at it and it might be a flat one but the one they gave me didn,t look right.So i went back in and asked this woman.So she pounded a few keys and got talking away and this guy said"apparently i don't know what i am doing today"and walked away.OOOH i was almost temped to say"he is right,he don't know what he is doing"but i kept my mouth shut.Then she turned the screen so i could see it and it said "requires 2 gaskets.Why in the hell would that connection take two gaskets,plus on the wrapper of the gasket on the counter said for catalytic converter.I told them to forget it,i will order it online so i get the right one.

Ha ha ha! Welcome to the world of Toyota owning. Many of them do take two gaskets. A ring-type one that is about the size of the pipe, then a flat one with the two bolt holes in it that goes around that. So, they might be right. Pay no attention to what it says on the package. The description is for what it's most common application is. Cat gasket is probably what it's most commonly sold for, because it's the same one that also goes by the cat.
Good luck getting the right one for it online. I'd be real scared of getting the wrong one for something like that Toyota, then not being able to return it easily.
Wednesday i stopped at Advanced Auto and that guy tried selling me the same gasket and it too said two gaskets but i told him he was wrong and he got looking and said i was right.
Theirs were $9.99 but he didn't have one in stock.I can just imagine what i am going to get in town!
