Winter Weather Watch

LOW PRESSURE WILL ORGANIZE OVER THE SOUTHERN PLAINS ON
WEDNESDAY...AND THEN IS EXPECTED TO STRENGTHEN AND MOVE INTO IOWA
BY THURSDAY MORNING. SNOW IS EXPECTED TO OVERSPREAD THE AREA BY
WEDNESDAY EVENING IN ADVANCE OF THE APPROACHING LOW AND THEN PICK
UP IN INTENSITY DURING THE DAY THURSDAY AS THE LOW TRACKS
NORTHEAST ACROSS WISCONSIN. SNOW IS EXPECTED TO LINGER ACROSS THE
AREA THROUGH THURSDAY EVENING AS THE LOW PULLS INTO UPPER
MICHIGAN. AT THIS TIME...IT APPEARS THERE IS THE POTENTIAL FOR 4
TO 9 INCHES ACROSS PORTIONS OF NORTHEAST IOWA...SOUTHEAST
MINNESOTA...AND SOUTHWEST INTO CENTRAL WISCONSIN FROM WEDNESDAY
EVENING THROUGH THURSDAY EVENING. IT IS STILL TOO EARLY TO PINPOINT
EXACTLY WHERE THE HEAVIEST SNOW WILL FALL...AND WILL BE HIGHLY
DEPENDENT ON THE EXACT TRACK OF THE LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM. INCREASING
WEST TO NORTHWEST WINDS THURSDAY AFTERNOON THROUGH THURSDAY
EVENING WILL LIKELY PRODUCE SOME BLOWING AND DRIFTING OF THE SNOW.
STAY TUNED FOR FURTHER UPDATES CONCERNING THIS SITUATION.
