We ordered the Daily Tribune on November 24th and it is January 5th and still no newspaper.The 1st time i called they were VERY sorry and promised me i would get my paper in the mail instead of getting it in it's own little box.2 more weeks passed and and not one newspaper yet.I called on Friday January 4th and the 1st thing they said is"WE ARE VERY SORRY"It was a lady and it sounded like she was chewing her cud like a cow.Couldn't understand a word she said,well maybe every other word she spoke i could understand.She told me she would have one delivered that night and she would add 2 more weeks on my subscription.That is fine and dandy but i doubt i will get a paper at all.
I was feeling a little down today.I got thinking of all the things that are going to hell and i don't have the money to fix none of it.Almost every thing i own needs a little help.
I lost one of my tarp sheds just before New Years.I told myself"tomorrow i better get my butt out here and get some on the snow off the roof before it collapses".Too late,when i woke up Saturday morning it was laying on top of my car i had in it.Looked today and it pushed the roof down alot. I will take a picture so you can see the damage.
I think the only thing i own that don't need help is my new quad-which Daena says it is like riding a sofa.
This damn computer keeps locking up all the time and i found out it does not help to beat the living shit out of it.Don't seem to faze it.Wonder why?Can't save no more data from my weather station,it runs for 3 or 4 minutes then i get an error and shuts down.Won't be long and i will have to hook one of the kids computers up.
Hey!Isn't it the shits that in February 2009 we will loose our broadband signal and there will be only digital signals.We gotta buy a 80 to a 100 dollar converter.

Don't pay that much for one of those boxes, unless it has other features and does other things besides just receiving digital signals. For 20 bucks more you can get a DVD recorder that does it all. Probably costs even less than that now and especially by 2009. The little SDTVs are cheaper now too. I saw one for $70. Besides, you pay for satellite TV and that won't make any difference anyway. You're satellite receiver is a decoder box already, for the satellite frequencies.
I know how you feel about everything going to hell and no money to fix it (have you seen my place?). Look at it the way I do. It's going to hell anyway, so just cobble it together good enough to keep some of the rain off your shit and then go riding! The kids probably won't want any of it when you're gone, so why keep it pristine now? It's only gotta last as long as you do. Any more than that is just a waste of money for no enjoyment. Buy the Wii instead, have some fun, but don't break your arm playing it!
I was thinking of the same thing when i was in Walmart yesterday.I heard on the radio that the decoders were 80 bucks,at Walmart the recorder was a little over 100 bucks.It would be stupid for me to buy just the decoder.
