OOPS fire went out

I guess after 3 days without checking the fire it is bound to go out.

After Friday afternoons high winds i thought it would go out sooner.

I got a problem, every time the wind blows my boiler boils over. Not sure where the air gets in cause there is 2 openings. One is the door and the other is the blower on the door.I took off the shield that covers the blower to see if air could be getting in there but there is a flap that goes over the air inlet hole to stop the flow of air.SO where else could the air be getting in??Any suggestions!!!

There is one other possibility and that the air is blowing through the hole where the damper rod goes through.Would the air get through that small hole & through that chamber and into the pot ?
I tried putting some of my aluminum siding i took off the trailer along the back and the 2 sides but the wind was too strong and when i got home it was laying out in the yard.

That is the only complaint i have with my wood furnace.Other than that is works quite well.

You had this problem last year too, right? Have you had this problem since it was new?

I think it's a gasket missing or torn somewhere. Is there supposed to be a gasket on that flap over the blower? Is there a gasket around the door? Even if the gasket is still there and looks good, it might be crushed enough now that it's not sealing. Close the door on a dollar bill and see if you can pull the dollar out.

I doubt it gets enough air around the damper rod to do it, especially since the rod is way up above the fire.

If you've researched everything else and still can't find anything that is causing it, as a last resort buy a chimney cap and try that.
